Persisted Entities
This section explains how to work with Persisted Entities in Rulecube.
Persisted Entities are entities that are stored in a database across ruleset executions. They have a defined lifecycle that includes creation, updates, retrieval, and deletion. Persisted Entities are essential in applications where data must persist between executions — for example, storing customer records, tracking orders, or managing application state.
Prerequisites
Before you can use Persisted Entities, your ruleset must be configured as a Library with persistency enabled. See Create a Persisted Entity for setup instructions.
For a full overview of all available methods, see the Persisted Entities Language Reference.
How to use Persisted Entities
There are a few ways to work with Persisted Entities:
- Programmatically within a Ruleset (covered in these guides)
- Through the REST API (
api/persisted-entity) - Via a Form data table (see Working with Data Sources)
