Create an Alert

This guide explains how to add an alert element to a Rulecube Form.

An alert renders a colored message box. It can show a static message or be bound to a ruleset alert.

Static message

Steps:

1. Click + Element and choose Alert
2. Expand the element
3. Set the Alert level to Info, Warning, or Error
4. Set the Message to Please fill in all required fields
5. Save the Ruleset

Bound to a ruleset alert

Prerequisites: Create an Alert in your ruleset. See Generate Alerts for instructions.

Steps:

1. Click + Element and choose Alert
2. Expand the element
3. Set the Alert type to Alert from Ruleset
4. Under Property binding, set the Path to the alert name from the ruleset
5. Save the Ruleset

The alert box appears and shows the alert message only when the ruleset triggers that alert.
