Create a Dialog

This guide explains how to add a dialog element to a Rulecube Form.

A dialog renders a modal that appears when a bound property is true.

Prerequisites:

• Add an Entity Restaurant with inputs food and drink of type string. See Entities for instructions.
• Create a Subform using the input properties from the Entity Restaurant. See Create a Subform for instructions.

Steps:

1. Go to the tab Global variables
2. Click +Add Variable and add showDialog as Name
3. Go to the tab Definition
4. Click +Element and add an element of type Button with:
   • Label: Show dialog
   • On click actions: select Set global variable, Path: showDialog, Value: true
5. Click + Element and choose Dialog
6. Expand the element
7. Set the Title to Restaurant
8. Assign a Subform to render inside the dialog
9. Under Property binding, set the Path to showDialog
10. Click +Add Dialog button, add Button text Close
11. Save the Ruleset
