Create a Dropdown Input

This guide explains how to add a dropdown input element to a Rulecube Form.

A dropdown input renders a searchable dropdown where the user selects one option from a list. Unlike the Select input, the dropdown supports searching through options by typing.

Prerequisites: Add an Input country to your ruleset, set Type to enum and add Netherlands, Belgium, Germany as Possible values.

Steps:

  1. Click + Element and choose Input
  2. Expand the element
  3. Set the Label to Country
  4. Under Property binding, set the Path to country
  5. Set the Input type to Dropdown
  6. Add options in one of two ways:
    • Click Add options to add options manually
    • Click Sync with enum to automatically add the options from the bound enum input
  7. Save the Ruleset

The field renders as a searchable dropdown. The user can type to filter the available options.
