Forms
This guide explains how to create and use Forms in Rulecube.
Introduction
Forms allow you to quickly build a user interface on top of your ruleset or workspace — without writing any front-end code. A form can be as simple as a single page with a few inputs to execute a ruleset, or as complex as a multi-page form with data sources, subforms, and conditional visibility.
A form is structured as follows:
- Pages — the main screens of your form, each containing sections and elements.
- Subforms — reusable components that can be embedded in pages, for example to display repeating items.
- Elements — the building blocks of a form: inputs, outputs, buttons, tables, charts, and more.
- Data sources — connections to persisted entities or workflow instances to populate your form dynamically.
Ruleset access
Forms are rendered and interacted with in your browser. This means that any execution-related parts of the ruleset (Input, Entities, Constants, Functions and Rules) are not directly usable by a Form.
Parts of the ruleset like Functions and Rules can be accessed, but only with a Execute Ruleset / Execute Ruleset Function / Execute Library / Execute Library Function action.
